To reduce recidivism by assisting individuals with criminal records in becoming productive members of the community. This mission will be accomplished by providing assistance with employment placement and supportive services that will enable individuals with criminal records to become self-sufficient. WHO WE ARE
We are social service organizations, educational institutions, medical institutions, criminal justice institutions, community advocates, and governmental entities to help better people with criminal records. We assist adults (residing in Lake County, IL) with felony or misdemeanor convictions. 2024 CRIMINAL JUSTICE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT!
Hector Guifarro | Waukegan, IL
Currently attending: DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois Major: Cyber Security Expected Graduation date: June 2026 Hector is currently employed as an Outreach Specialist with Lake County Peacemakers, where he is involved in working on ways to prevent gun violence and mentoring high-risk individuals. In addition, he is also working as a System Engineer for Packing Corporation of America, located in Lake Forest, IL. Hector is a National Chess Champion with his own organization, Chess for Champions Academy, partnering with Waukegan Public Schools and the STARS After School Program teaching children the game of chess including life skills. He also serves as the Chess Club President at the College of Lake County. Please join us in congratulating Mr. Hector Guifarro as the 2024 C2RR Scholarship Recipient.
